Location
Overlooking the mainstream Okavango River, this property is the ideal safari camp with fishing and boating opportunities amidst abundant Elephant, Hippo and Bird life.
The property is in an exclusive area, as it is one of only three properties having direct, and all year-round access to the mainstream river. This enables us to operate 12 months and beyond the ordinary tourism season. The location away from villages and cattle posts gives the camp the advantage of exceptional quiet and tranquillity.
Situated on elevated grounds which affords it spectacular views of the panhandle and extravagant sunsets to the theatrical sounds of birdlife. The location within 2 different habitats, the riverine forest as well as the Kalahari Sandveld acacia woodlands offers unparalleled birdlife.
The camp is partly developed and partly operational with main deck and existing tent structures.
At present, the camp is being looked after and maintained by the owner himself and three full time employees who’s scope of work stretch from fencing and gardening to building and maintenance of the main deck and existing tent structures. An additional part time employee is brought in periodically to take care of housekeeping, scullery and cooking.
Vision for Expansion
Six luxury chalets.
The dining and bar area will have the capacity to comfortably wine and dine 12 guests (maximum of 16 guests) and their guides with a hot and a cold kitchen.
An expansion of facilities not exceeding 10 rooms can be considered at a later stage, this includes 4 luxury riverfront chalets with a secondary communal area.
Luxury accommodation and relaxation facilities will be the main attraction of the camp. There will be 6 luxury chalets of which all will be twin rooms. The camp can provide accommodation for 12 guests at any time, plus 2 guides. 16 guests at most.
Designs and construction CAD plans are in place. All elements are designed in a way that is easily changeable and to be upgraded / altered in future if the need should arise.
Construction staff and contractors will be sub hired and employed when the construction commences. Some suppliers and service providers have already been identified. Where possible, local companies and workforce will be utilised.
